Rep. Nicole Malliotakis slammed for using government funds for ‘campaign ads’
New York Daily News
Among the accomplishments Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y.) touted in a recent mailing to constituents, she cited opposition to congressional Democrats’ proposed sweeping voting rights legislation. She singled out a measure in the bill that would provide matching funds to political campaigns, a provision aimed at increasing the power of small contributions.
But around the same time, Malliotakis used thousands of dollars in government funds for what a good-government group described as ‘campaign ads’ herself, the Daily News has learned.
